Chevrolet's 2002 Astro LT AWD is the all-wheel drive luxury model. It is the same as the
two-wheel-drive 2002 Astro LT, except that the AWD handles better in snow or slippery conditions.
Van is equipped with a 4.3L six-cylinder engine with center of vee camshaft, multi-port fuel injection
system, 190 horsepower, and 250 lbs-ft of torque. The AWD features the addition of four-wheel full-time
drive to successfully negotiate challenging roads, mud, and snow with confidence. The towing capacity
on this model is 5900 lbs, making it a tough customer.
Antilock brakes remain standard, and an all-wheel-drive system returns at extra cost. Other
new standard features include headlamps that switch on automatically in low-light conditions,
a larger fuel tank made of plastic instead of metal, and retained accessory power that permits
operating electrical accessories for up to 20 minutes after shutting off the ignition.
This Van has all the standard features, including Air Conditioning, In-Dash CD, AM-FM Stereo,
2 Captains Chairs, Dual front air bags, Anti-Lock Brakes, Pwr. Steering, Pwr. Windows and Pwr. Locks.
The exterior is Maroon with a Grey cloth interior.
This 2002 Chevrolet Astro Van AWD is a great all purpose family van.
The exterior shows normal signs of wear with minor scratches as does the interior.
This van is equipped with the All Wheel Drive option, great for winter driving!
Overall the van drives and runs well. Great for the family or for work!
